Weekend Dining Special Buffet Indian Royal Food Festival

Step into a world of royal indulgence this month at Cafe Quane, Ramada by Wyndham Lucknow, where history and gastronomy come together for an unforgettable culinary experience. The hotel presents the “Princely States Food Festival”, a tribute to the regal kitchens of four illustrious royal states — Kashmiri Wazwani, Rampur Mughlai, Royal Rajasthani, and Nizami Hyderabadi.

Each Saturday, the all-day dining restaurant transforms into a royal darbar, offering guests a taste of time-honoured recipes perfected over generations. The festival’s highlight is the Kashmiri Wazwan, known for its elaborate, ceremonial presentation and aromatic flavours. Indulge in classics like Rogan Josh, Gushtaba, and Rista, served with traditional breads and fragrant saffron rice.

From the courts of Rampur, the Rampuri Mughlai menu brings forth an opulent blend of Mughal and Awadhi styles — slow-cooked meats, delicate use of spices, and rich gravies. Signature dishes include Tar Qorma, Rampuri Seekh Kebab, and Shahi Tukda, invoking the grandeur of nawabi feasts.

Royal Rajasthani cuisine celebrates the bold, earthy flavours of the desert. Here, Laal Maas, Gatte ki Sabzi, and Ker Sangri reflect the ingenuity of a cuisine shaped by climate and culture. With an array of pickles and chutneys on the side, every bite tells a tale of resilience and heritage.

The feast concludes in the southern courts of Hyderabad with the exquisite Nizami fare. Dive into the aromatic world of Hyderabadi Biryani, Pathar ka Gosht, and Mirchi ka Salan, all bursting with spices and the richness of royal traditions.

Whether you’re a lover of meat-laden dishes or rich vegetarian delights, the festival has something to excite every palate. The regal ambience, live counters, and soulful traditional music complete the experience.

Join us every Saturday in May, for a Royal Food Festival dinner buffet at Ramada Lucknow and relive the culinary legacies of India’s princely past, where every bite is a journey through time.
